You Are Welcome Here

First Lutheran Church Kingsville is a Christ-centered congregation rooted in God's Word and shaped by prayer, worship, and service. We gather week after week to hear the Gospel, grow in faith, and care for one another - and for our neighbors in Kingsville.

Whether you're exploring faith or looking for a church home, you are welcome here.

What We Believe

Our faith is rooted in the Scriptures and the historic Christian confession.

Scripture

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, the sole authority for all matters of faith and life.

The Trinity

We believe in one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-equal, co-eternal, and fully divine.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus is true God and true man, who lived, died, and rose again for the forgiveness of our sins and the promise of eternal life.

Salvation by Grace

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, not by anything we do or deserve.

Baptism

We believe Baptism is a means of grace through which God forgives sin, delivers from death, and gives the Holy Spirit.

The Lord's Supper

We believe that in the Lord's Supper, Christ's body and blood are truly present with the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins.

What to Expect

Our worship follows the Lutheran liturgy, a rhythm of gathering, Word, meal, and sending that has shaped Christians for centuries.

Music & Worship

Our worship band leads the congregation in hymns and songs each Sunday, with singing that unites voices in praise. Special music selections throughout the year celebrate the seasons of the church calendar.

Scripture Readings

Each service includes readings from the Old Testament, Epistles, and Gospels, the full counsel of God's Word proclaimed and taught.

Holy Communion

We celebrate the Lord's Supper on dates announced to the congregation in advance, and on festival days. As a congregation of The Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, we practice closed communion. If you are visiting and would like to commune with us, please speak with one of our elders before the service.

Prayer & Benediction

Prayers of confession, thanksgiving, intercession, and the Apostolic Benediction frame our worship, drawing us close to God's grace.

Children Welcome

Children are welcome in worship. Busy bags and activity sheets are available, and clipboard activities are in the Narthex while Sunday School is on pause.

Fellowship Time

After service, join us for coffee and conversation in the narthex. It's a warm time of connecting with one another.

Our Faith Foundation

We practice the six chief parts of the Christian faith as taught in Martin Luther's Small Catechism. These teachings shape our worship, guide our community life, and anchor us in the Gospel.

01

The Ten Commandments

God's perfect law reveals His standards and our need for grace. It guides us in holy living as grateful children of God.

02

The Apostles' Creed

The ancient confession of faith uniting Christians across centuries: belief in God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

03

The Lord's Prayer

Jesus taught us to pray, addressing God as our loving Father and seeking His kingdom, provision, forgiveness, and protection.

04

Holy Baptism

Through water and God's Word, we are adopted into His family, made new creations in Christ, and sealed with the Holy Spirit.

05

Confession & Forgiveness

We come before God in honest confession and hear His liberating word of absolution: Your sins are forgiven.

06

Holy Communion

At Christ's table we receive His true body and blood in, with, and under bread and wine, for the forgiveness of sins.

More Ways to Connect

Worship is just the beginning. We offer groups, studies, and ministries for every season of life, all grounded in God's Word and centered on community.
